This privacy notice explains why I collect personal information, how I use it, whom I share it with and why I share it, and what your rights are.
I am Helen Oclee-Brown, a freelance translator in the UK. If you have any questions about this privacy notice or the information I hold, please contact me.
I collect, store and process personal information to issue quotes, provide translation or revision services and to comply with legal obligations.
I collect personal information including your name, postal address, email address, phone number, bank details and VAT number. I do not use your personal information for marketing purposes.
I collect personal information to provide translation and revision services, which means it is for the performance of a contact.
I also collect personal information to comply with tax obligations.
Colleagues who work with me to provide revision or editing services are GDPR compliant.
To run my business, I use accounting and banking services, cloud storage, and website and email hosting. The companies providing these services may have access to your personal information. They are all GDPR complaint or, if US companies, they are self-certified under the US Privacy Shield framework.
I keep personal information for administrative and tax purposes for ten years. I delete emails after five years.
You can contact me at any time to request a copy of the information I hold about you, or ask that I correct or delete it. I will respond promptly to all requests and, in any event, within a month of any request.
